Thursday Nights at the Bandstand - Simply the Best Tina Turner Tribute - Unionville - Aug 31st - 7.30pm

The popular free music series “Thursday Nights at the Bandstand” hits the stage on consecutive Thursday evenings throughout August 3rd through September 14th, 2023 – except August 17th. Performances each evening run from 7:30 to 9 Unionville’s Millennium Bandstand at the corner of Main Street and Fred Varley Drive.Co-organized by community-based Unionville Presents, Unionville BIA and funded by dedicated community spirited sponsors, the series attracts talented Canadian, International and Local performers to the outdoor Millennium Bandstand for all to enjoy free of charge.From blues to jazz to funk to soul to vintage hits and classical guitar, award-winning musicians bring their unique sounds to life on the Millennium stage.

Music on Main - Main Street Markham - Sept 1st - 6pm

Each week unique performers will set up along Main Street Markham between 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Walk the street and listen for the artists to discover where they are playing.

Labour Day Fireworks at Canada's Wonderland - Sept 3rd

Canada’s Wonderland will present its spectacular fireworks display when the Park closes at 10:00 PM (weather permitting). Spend your day enjoying our 200 attractions, including our 18 roller coasters and then settle in for an explosive fireworks display.

Each of our fireworks shows has a unique, custom-design set to an original soundtrack that you won’t find anywhere else in Toronto! It’s a great way to end a fun day at the park.

More than 375 people-hours go into designing and mounting the show, with 11 separate firing positions and 1,800 firing cues creating a spectacular display above the park skyline and our iconic Wonder Mountain.

For approximately 15 minutes, you’ll witness more than 6,000 colourful explosions, reaching heights of over 800 feet, which is sure to ignite thrills for guests of all ages.

Please note that the fireworks start at approximately 10:00 PM. Certain rides are subject to close early on these dates.

Canadian International Air Show - Lakeshore Blvd -

The Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) celebrates its 74th year with an incredible aerial extravaganza! 

The 2023 Air Show features two headliners, the beloved Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the thrilling U.S. Navy Blue Angels. In addition to these amazing jet teams the show will include the United States Air Force F-16 Viper demonstration, the Canadian Forces CF-18 demonstration and 81-year-old Gord Price in his Yak50.

Labour Day 2023 Parade - Queen/University Ave

Join us as we take the streets with over 20,000 labour members to honour the past, present and future victories of the Labour Movement at this year’s annual Labour Day Parade!


This year, we highlight our collective strength and solidarity with this year’s theme “Year of the Union. Worker Power, Lifting Communities.” As we march through the heart of Toronto, we’ll be showcasing the vital role that unions play in improving our workplaces, our neighbourhoods, and our lives. From workplace challenges to the cost of living crisis, it’s through our collective power that we can inspire positive change, and uplift not only ourselves but also the communities we’re a part of. When we stand together, we can uplift entire communities!
