Fun & Games! A virtual program for Kids – until March 30th

Toronto Intergenerational Partnerships in Community (TIGP) is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been the leader in intergenerational programming since 1986. At TIGP, our main objective is to create quality relationships with different generations and to bridge the gaps in communities through meaningful programs.
In direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic and recent restrictions, TIGP has prioritized the adaptation of its programming to the online world by developing and producing free, weekly interactive Zoom sessions. Our newest offering, called Fun & Games, will run for 8 weeks. A different game will be played each week, for example, one week we will play “Simon Says”, another we will play “I Spy”. The target audience for the program is children from toddlers to age 6 or 7, or any child who is interested in playing fun and interactive games! Participants can attend each session or drop in whenever they can.

Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands Series – Feb 1st – 1pm

This is the first webinar in a five-part series focused on assessing and enhancing the resilience of Great Lakes coastal wetlands. The series is being hosted by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).
Over the past four years, ECCC has completed a novel climate change vulnerability assessment of coastal wetlands and is excited to share the findings from this assessment, along with adaptation strategies and possible implementation options for enhancing coastal wetland resilience.
The webinar series is open to members of the public. This first webinar will focus on the results of the climate, lake-level, and wetland response modelling from the vulnerability assessment.
