It is tradition for all young witches to leave their families on the night of a full moon and set out into the wide world to learn their craft. When that night comes for Kiki, she embarks on her life journey with her chatty black cat, Jiji, landing the next morning in a sea-side village, where a bakery owner hires her to make deliveries. Steeles Loves Inline Skating - Fundy Bay Park
July 22nd - 9am - 12.30pm

Steeles Loves Inline Skating is part of the Steeles Loves Sports project. It includes a series of free inline skating lessons on 2 Saturday mornings in July & August. 3 different-levelled instruction will be provided such as beginner, intermediate, and intermediate/advanced. Certified Instructors are invited to provide these quality lessons. The whole event and activities are free and open to the public children and youth.

Mark your calendars, grab your skates, and join us for an unforgettable Summer of fun and excitement at Steeles Loves Inline Skating event!

A Letter to Participants from the Instructor

Dear Participants, Parents/Legal Guardians,

I am Stephen Fisher, a certified Level 2 Inline Skating Instructor and have been teaching inline skating, primarily to beginners, turning them into advanced skaters since the year 2000. This is my 24th year doing this in the Toronto area. In addition to rollerblading, I am also a certified technical speedskating instructor and as a racer had many podiums. I am also a certified CAN-BIKE instructor.

For this event, there will be 3 lessons each morning. Be certain to arrive at least 10 or 15 minutes early in order to be geared up and ready to roll at your appointed time. Have your waivers signed in advance electronically or on the paper, so as not to lose time at the lesson. To be clear, you under-stand that you take all the risks of any injury which may occur and will not hold the instructor, the organizers, the volunteers or the facilities responsible. That is what the waiver says in boring legal details.

All skaters require skates that roll smoothly, a helmet, wrist guards, and elbow and knee pads. No exceptions! I will have a few extras to lend if needed, but best to let me know in advance. Having a brake on the skates is definitely preferred. There is also a chance of falling on your backsides, so we recommend putting some foam or towel in the back of your pants, especially if you are concerned about falling backwards. Bring along water, perhaps a snack and, of course, a smile. Sunscreen is recommended for exposed skin.
