Canada Day in Markham – July 1st
Join us on Canada Day at a new location, Markham Centre (Birchmount Road/Enterprise Boulevard). There is an action-packed day planned with fun for the whole family to enjoy.

The day’s festivities begin at 3 PM on July 1 and will feature live entertainment right up until our signature fireworks display, capping off the evening at 10 PM!
Canada’s Wonderland Celebration Canada – July 1st

Join us for Canada’s birthday celebration, showcasing live music, authentic Canadian food, street performers, and more! Canada’s Wonderland has the biggest Canada Day celebration in the Greater Toronto Area, don’t miss it! We start the celebration with a bang on July 1 and our spectacular Canada day fireworks display.
Grab a drink and join the festivities in Frontier Canada, enjoying some toe-tapping live music and bands. Live entertainment takes to the stage every day and street performers regularly roam the festival. Be sure to watch the West Coast Lumberjacks put their skills to the test, including axe throwing, wood carving and more! Indulge in delicious Canadian foods, including Beef Sliders, Mac n’ Cheese, and Peameal Bacon Sliders as well as Canadian drinks like the classic Caesar. Plus, it would not be a true Celebration Canada without one of our most iconic dishes… Poutine! Delicious fries topped with soft cheese curds and mouth-watering gravy. You’ll want to come back for seconds… or thirds!

Stouffville Strawberry Festival – July 1st – July 3rd

The Whitchurch-Stouffville Strawberry Festival takes place over the Canada Day weekend and is run for the benefit of our community – all the Festival organized entertainment and kids’ activities are free. From the festival market to inflatables, live entertainment, the Food Zone, pancake breakfast, the Red Berry Café, fireworks and all the fun in between – it’s a weekend where thousands come to participate and enjoy, and it takes place in the heart of Stouffville in Memorial Park.

Ontario Family Fishing Event – July 2nd – July 10th

Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card. New this year, the Ontario Government has designated four periods throughout the year as license-free!

FamilyFest – An Arts Festival for Families – July 6th – July 10th

Guild Festival Theatre is proud to be kicking off their season with Family Fest!
This energetic celebration of young audiences (and the young at heart) will feature a variety of different performances, workshops and activities perfect for every member of the family. From circus performers to puppet theatre and musical acts, Family Fest has you covered!
The festival will run from July 6th-10th (1 pm- 7 pm on weekdays and 10 am-7 pm on weekends) at the beautiful Guild Park & Gardens, featuring our stunning Greek Theatre. 201 Guildwood Parkway, Scarborough.

Guided Forest Bathing – July 3rd – 4pm – Ponoma Mills Park

The forest bathing adventure will be followed by tea and snacks and a forest walk.

Cyrano de Burgershack – A pop musical – June 30th – Flato Markham Theatre

Cyrano De Burgershack: A Pop Musical is a musical theatre production for all ages.
Cyrano is king of the local Burger Shack, but he can’t seem to win the love of his best friend, Roxanne.
When Roxanne confesses her crush on the new burger-flipper, Christian, Cyrano decides that playing Cupid is better than sitting out of the game.
An updated, modern version of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac, this rollicking musical features hit contemporary pop songs from the 80s, 90s and today.
The cast comprises members of the Pre-Professional Musical Theatre Program at TIFTPA and special upcoming professionals, produced by Cue The Lights Production and licensed through Broadway Licensing.
This show will surely you have singing, laughing, dancing and crying at which point, you would have worked up your appetite for a burger by the end of the night!
