What is Math Hackathon?
- The Math Hackathon is a global event that challenges kids all over the world to prove how they can use math to solve our world’s greatest problems.
- The competition will be held virtually.
- You can join as an individual and work on a project solo, or join as a group and work collaboratively with others.
- How does Math Hackathon work?
You are given a problem to solve using math skills within 48 hours.
You will submit your work via an online portal where your work will then be evaluated and participants will be ranked.
How do I register a Group?
Participants can work in a group of up to 4 members. There should not be a difference of more than 2 years in their ages (e.g. A 12-year old can be a group member to a 14-year old, but not to a 15-year old).
How do I submit my work?
Once the competition opens, you will be able to access a portal that will allow you to submit your answer.

Toronto Comicon – Mar 18th – 20th

Toronto Comicon returns to cap off the March Break 2022 with an epic programming lineup for all ages. Fans of comics, sci-fi, fantasy and animation will converge on the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s South Building from March 18-20, 2022.
The three-day event features more than 150,000 square feet of pop culture fun for every kind of fan: visitors can browse from hundreds of artists and vendors selling everything from custom art and vintage collectables to the hottest pop culture swag, meet their favourite stars and creators, and enjoy the epic cosplay of their fellow attendees (or cosplay themselves!) on the cosplay red carpet.
New this year, fans will have even more time to explore the convention floor with extended hours beginning at 10AM on Friday, March 18 presented with enhanced safety measures, to explore safely.

St Patricks Day Parade – Mar 20th – 12pm

The St. Patrick’s Parade Society celebrates Irish-Canadian culture in Toronto. Canada’s largest St. Patrick’s Parade takes place every year through the centre of Toronto. We invite everyone to celebrate being Irish – even if it is only for the day!
The Parade begins on the corner of St. George and Bloor St West (near St. George subway station) and heads east on Bloor Street, turns south on Yonge Street and finally turns west on Queen Street, finishing at the parade reviewing stand at Nathan Phillips Square.
The parade starts at 12 noon and the line of march lasts one and a half hours at any given point along the route.

Make Your Own Meadoway: Creat a Native Pollinator Garden! – Mar 22nd – 6.30pm

Learn all about one of the most exciting green space revitalization projects in Canada and how you can get involved in creating it with us! TRCA and our partners are turning a 16 km hydro corridor into a flourishing natural meadow; the native plants we plant will provide a home for pollinators and create a healthier natural community, but it doesn’t need to stop there! You can create your own Meadoway by naturalizing your space too! We’ll teach you how to build your own Meaodway in your yard, patio or balcony and reap the benefits of your own wildflower meadow.

ARC Ensemble Concet at the Royal Conservatory and Online – Mar 20th – 2pm
