Comedy Night at Old Flame Brewing Co – May 26th – 7pm

RyGuy Comedy presents BREW HAHA, a marriage of delicious craft beer and hilarious comedy at Old Flame Brewing Co. – Newmarket.
The evening will feature headliner Ryan Dillon and opening acts Emmett Morrison, Greg Enwright, Johnny Pogo and a special guest.
Each ticket includes a 12oz beer (19+) or soft drink, courtesy of Old Flame Brewing Co.
Doors are open upstairs in the event space at 7:00pm, and the show starts at 7:30pm. All seating is general admission. There are a limited number of tables available. All other seats are chairs-only. Please arrive early to get good seats.
All tickets are final sale and are non-refundable except in the case of cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled events.

SportsCar Grand Prix – Canadian Tire Mosport Park Bowmanville – June 1st – 3rd

The exotic prototype and GT race cars of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship return to CTMP in 2022 for their only Canadian date. The series features a world-class field of drivers piloting the leading performance brands such as Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Corvette, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mercedes and Porsche.
Two other popular IMSA championships, IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the IMSA Prototype Challenge, will make their only north-of-the-border stop.
Two new series celebrating the golden age of motorsport have been added to the SportsCar Grand Prix weekend: the Masters Historic Formula One, with cars from 1966 through to 1985, and the Masters Endurance Legends Series for prototype and GT race cars from 1982-2017.
The SportsCar Grand Prix weekend provides fans an unforgettable experience, with fun, interactive activities such as the “Open Grid Walk,” driver autograph sessions, and open team paddocks. The Sunday morning Open Grid Walk allows spectators to gather in pit lane, along with all the cars, drivers and crews moments before the green flag falls.
The paddock areas are located on the infield at the north end of the circuit, near the start/finish straight. Access to the Open Grid Walk and paddock is included with your event ticket purchase.

Artfest on the Esplanade – Pickering -until June 11th

Can’t Read, Can’t Write: The Journey – Online Event – June 1st – 7pm

At just 28, Michael Jacques is an author, received numerous honours, he’s met Ellen DeGeneres, the lieutenant governor, and is a sought-after speaker. Michael Jacques is also a young man that lives with autism and an intellectual disability. He has a hard time with concepts like time and money, and he can’t read or write.
The City of Markham Accessibility Committee is excited to host Michael and his father Marcel to share their powerful and inspiring stories of how Michael has found his voice as an author and speaker despite all odds. Join us for an engaging National AccessAbility Week panel discussion to celebrate the valuable contributions of Canadians with disabilities and hear about the services and actions Markham is taking to actively remove barriers to accessibility and inclusion.
