Markham Holiday Market – Nov 19th-Nov 21st
Welcome to the Markham Holiday Market at the Markham Fairgrounds. The Markham Fairgrounds has hosted events and festivals for over 175 years. Markham Fairgrounds will once again host a Winter Holiday Event. Holiday Markets are a tradition for friends and families as part of their Holiday Shopping to begin the Holiday Season. Looking for the latest in Holiday Gifts, décor, and stunning stocking stuffers, unique artisan gifts or delicious gourmet food, the Markham Holiday Market has it all!
Ticket prices include entrance to the Market with a large number of fabulous vendors, a photo opportunity with Santa, socially distanced of course! And fantastic giveaways. Friday market opens 10am – 9pm and Saturday/Sunday opens 10am – 5pm.

Fairway of Lights at Angus Glen Golf Club – Nov 20th – Jan 30th
Angus Glen Golf Club is excited to announce a new annual walking light show experience, Fairway of Light at Angus Glen Golf Club, coming this winter. After nightfall, guests are invited to follow the path through the woods and experience the excitement, mystery and celebration of the winter season in lights.
The illuminated 1 km walking path takes guests on a magical adventure on our North Course, beginning on Coyote trail and circling back down the 18th pathway to the clubhouse. Spectacular decorations and immersive displays are expected to dazzle and enchant you and showcase the wonder of the festive season.
Special Festival nights (November 27, 2021, December 9, 2021 and December 22, 2021) will bring additional entertainment that will wow audiences and feature a charming marketplace showcasing unique handcrafted items from local businesses and artists.

Toronto Zoo Holiday Marketplace – Nov 19th-Nov 21st – 2pm – 4.30pm
Beginning on November 19th, the Toronto Zoo’s Front and Indo-Malayan Courtyards will transform into our second Holiday Marketplace. This outdoor market will showcase over 90 amazing artisans, processors, and producers from our local and surrounding communities, with up to 18 vendors per date. Shop local while enjoying holiday-inspired food and drink, festive décor, and photo opportunities. By shopping locally, you are helping to protect the environment by reducing your carbon footprint.
Have you discovered Terra Lumina, the Zoo’s immersive night walk experience yet? Purchase a ticket and you can visit the Holiday Marketplace before your Terra Lumina timeslot!

Winter Nights, City Lights: A Walk-Thru Experience – Nov 19th-Nov 21st
Experience this in-person, ticketed winter event in partnership with Elexicon, OPG, Kinsmen & Kinette Club and Pickering Public Library.
The City of Pickering in collaboration with the Kinsmen and Kinette Club of Pickering will be delivering a new winter experience, combining the Santa Claus Parade with the annual Tree Lighting in a three-night live walk-through show.
Experience this walk-through event that includes; decorated parade floats parked inside the event space-including a special float with Old St. Nick, LED and fire performances, live music from Groove Marmalade, take pictures at our lit selfie stations or inside the OPG Light Tunnel, and then countdown for the official tree lighting at the *NEW* 21′ LED tree, lit by Elexicon!
This in-person, ticketed event is free and open to the public. Tickets reservation open early November.
Collection of food and toys for the St. Paul’s on the Hill Food Bank, and DRPS Toy Drive will take place at the event. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

In-person PA Day Camp at Art One Academy Markham – Nov 19th -9am-4pm
Plan to spend your PA Day at our cosy Art Studio. Our PA Day Camp programs correspond with the York Region District School Board schedule and are offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the option of morning and afternoon extended care as well.
Students will enjoy working with different types of materials under the guidance of professional artists.

P.A Day Program Lace Up! Canada’s Passion for Skating – Nov 19th – 10am-11am
This coming P.A Day. explore ‘Lace UP! Canada’s passion for Skating’, the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum’s new featured exhibition!
Included in the ticket price is a virtual Lace Up! themed Museum at Home Box and a LIVE, interactive virtual craft and tour. Topics include major ice sports and fascinating artefacts. For ages 5-12.

Holiday Wreath Making Workshop – Nov 20th-Nov 28th
Deck your halls with a lovely evergreen wreath made by you! Join the Pickering Museum Interpreter to use fresh greenery to create your own wreath. Add in ribbon and natural accents such as pine cones and bittersweet. Learn some history about the materials and how they were used for holiday decorating in the past. This program is completed outdoors, so come dressed for the weather. Bring your family and friends for a creative and fun workshop, just in time for the holidays.
