As we leave Halloween behind, Remembrance Day is ahead and Markham Arts Council is helping us to show the world what it means to us individually. Remembrance Day Art Contest hosted by Markham Arts Council – deadline 11th November

What does Remembrance Day mean to you? As we near the commemoration of this pivotal event in Canadian history, it’s important to pay our respects to those who have and continue to risk their lives for our freedoms. Markham Arts Council will be hosting this Remembrance Day art contest.

Guided Forest Therapy – Nov 7th – 1pm-4pm

There are now 40 + years of research demonstrating the connection between mindful time spent in nature and stress reduction, increased attention span, better immune system function, and, simply put, happiness!
Join the TRCA and get outside in a mindful way during this professionally guided Forest Therapy walk at the Claremont Nature Centre. We will go slowly through the forest, engaging our senses and taking part in invitations to interact with the space. Canadian Online Jazz Festival – Nov 7th – 14th

The Canadian Online Jazz Festival is back for its second edition this November featuring festivals from across Canada.
Canadian Online Jazz Festival is a virtual event highlighting the strength of musicians from each jazz festival market in Canada, featuring artists in a digital format for local, national, and international audiences. With two festival presentations each evening, the Canadian Online Jazz Festival (CoJazz) will exhibit the full breadth and depth of Canada’s unique jazz tapestry.
