Together Apart Summer Cirque – From July 1st

Acrobatic theatre hits Markham Fairgrounds on Canada Day to tell a story of a fantasy world celebrating the summer solstice. Daytime fireworks will light up the sky during this amazing show! Social distancing is observed as the audience will be separated into groups of up to five people per household. Free on site parking. There is also a 25% discount on tickets for Canada Day weekend – just enter the code CANADA25 on check out.

Markham Virtual Canada Day

This year Markham’s virtual Canada Day efforts will share some of the history and success of past Canada Days in Markham, and will engage residents in the National Canada Day celebrations.
Markham’s Canada Day schedule of July 1 virtual activities:
- Watch the new Canada Day in Markham Celebration video with greetings from key City and Community members and pictures from past celebrations
- Download and have fun this summer with Markham’s Canada Day-themed activity ‘Fun Kit’ for families
- Engage with the National Canada Day celebrations from Ottawa.

Strawberry Picking at Applewood Farm – now open!

If you are thinking of taking a family drive somewhere this weekend – try visiting Applewood Farm and do some strawberry picking! Approximately 15 minutes drive north of Markham this is a fun activity if you like to eat strawberries, make jam, or have some delicious bakes in mind for this week. Go early in the day to make sure there is a plentiful supply!

Sensible Sweets PA Day – June 30th – 1.30pm

Joyful Yoga – June 26th – 11.00am

In this class led by an instructor from Markham Yoga, all are invited to practice breathing, relaxation and simple yoga poses that will encourage mindfulness for everyone in the family.
