WeeFestival May 17th-24th
The WeeFestival of Arts & Culture for Early Years is dedicated to the presentation of inspiring theatre and performing arts created especially for children 0-6 years and their families. For 2021 you can get 8 days of streaming access to all festival content. Puppetry, music, dance, installations, film, circus acts – more than a week of fun live acts to see!

My Museum Workshop by Varley Art Gallery – May 18th & 19th

May 18 is International Museum Day! In this workshop, students will celebrate by learning about museums and their collections, while also drawing a museum space of their own using one-point perspective.

Meet Cute by Roseneath Theatre – May 16th

Meet Cute is a story about Jane and John who meet at a bus stop — could there be romance? The show explores their conversation in three different ways using the same text. One scene. Two actors. Three possibilities. Because the text is repeated in each scenario, the focus shifts from behaviour to context and finally to intention. Meet Cute speaks to the notion of consent and explores not only what you say, but HOW you say it.

Boogie on the Blues Highway by Flato Markham Theatre – May 15th – 7pm

Buckingham Palace State Rooms Livestream Tour May 16th – 3pm

You are welcome to join tour guide and historian Edward Calcutt on an online exploration through the sumptuous and richly-adorned State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, designed to impress, and used primarily for official events and visits held by the monarchy. These rooms are open to the public when no official performance is taking place, and so this talk can be a refresher if you have already visited, or a taster and guide for when you may visit in the future.
Discover the interesting history of Buckingham House and how it developed into the royal palace it is today. Explore the various lavish rooms in the State area, such as the Picture Gallery, the Throne Room, the White Drawing Room and the Grand Staircase. In each room, we’ll stop and learn about different members of the royal family who used and use them, along with the various beautiful artworks, objects and architectural features which all have a fascinating story to tell.
Due to Covid restrictions, the programme will be a live online/virtual slideshow presentation of Buckingham Palace, and not broadcast from the site.
